Our Work

Willet Studios completed a preservation project involving three stained glass windows at the Church of the Epiphany. The work focused on repairing and protecting the existing windows while also refreshing the surrounding millwork.

Stained Glass Repairs

The existing protective coverings were carefully removed to allow access to the stained glass. Each window was then re-cemented on its exterior surface, helping to reinforce the window and improve its weather resistance.

Cracked glass was also addressed throughout the three windows. Where replacement was appropriate, non-painted cracked glass was replaced. Other cracked pieces were carefully stabilized to preserve the original glass and prevent further damage.

Klear-Flo™ Protective Coverings

Following the repairs, all three windows received new protective coverings using the Klear-Flo™ protective covering system. A specialized perimeter frame with 1/4-inch acrylic was installed to provide an additional layer of protection for the stained glass.

The protective coverings help shield the windows from environmental exposure and potential impact while allowing the original stained glass to remain visible and continue serving as an important part of the church’s interior.

Millwork Restoration

The millwork surrounding the windows was also repainted, completing the project and giving the window openings a refreshed appearance.

Through careful glass repairs, exterior re-cementing, millwork restoration, and the installation of new Klear-Flo™ protective coverings, Willet Studios helped preserve the three stained glass windows at the Church of the Epiphany for years to come.
