About the Church

St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church has served the Omaha community for more than a century. The parish is known for its vibrant faith community and beautiful worship space, where stained glass helps bring biblical stories, saints, and symbols of the Catholic faith to life.

Our Work

Willet Studios designed, fabricated, and installed a collection of new stained glass windows throughout the sanctuary of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. The project was completed in four phases, with each phase adding new windows depicting saints, religious figures, and important symbols of the Catholic faith.

Together, the four phases created a cohesive collection of stained glass artwork designed specifically for the church.

Phase One

The first phase introduced several significant new windows and a custom door system:

Two three-lancet windows in the east and west sanctuary, depicting St. Wenceslaus and Pentecost
A rose window depicting the Dove of the Holy Spirit, located at the sanctuary entrance
A custom tabernacle door system featuring the symbols of the chalice and wheat

Phase Two

The second phase added four windows honoring individual saints:

St. Gerard
St. Peregrine
St. Cecilia
St. Patrick

Each window was designed to celebrate the life and legacy of its respective saint while contributing to the overall visual story of the sanctuary.

Phase Three

The third phase expanded the collection with 18 new stained glass windows depicting a variety of saints and important figures and themes from the Catholic faith.

The windows included representations of:

Various saints
The Immaculate Heart of Mary
The Sacred Heart of Jesus
The Holy Innocents
John the Baptist

This phase added significant depth to the sanctuary’s collection, creating a visual representation of the church’s faith and traditions.

Phase Four

The final phase included six additional windows depicting:

The four Apostles
Our Lady of Guadalupe
St. Katharine Drexel

With the completion of the fourth phase, the sanctuary’s new stained glass collection was brought together as a unified artistic program.

From the initial design concepts through fabrication and installation, Willet Studios worked through four phases to create a comprehensive stained glass program for St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
