Restoration (Re-lead)

A three-lancet traceried window underwent a program of historic restoration. The project consisted of the following steps: 1. removed existing protective covering, 2. removed the stained glass window and transported it to the studio for restoration, 3. installed temporary tinted acrylic in the vacated window opening, 4. after restoration was complete, stained glass window was reinstalled, 5. millwork was re-painted, 6. glazing bars were installed to follow the major lines of the framing, thus preserving the exterior appearance of the architecture, 7. Klear-Flo™ protective covering system was installed utilizing a special perimeter frame and 1/4” acrylic.
