Osceola United Methodist Church serves the Osceola, Wisconsin, community, providing a place for worship, fellowship, and service. The church’s stained glass contributes to the character and beauty of its worship space.
Our Work
Willet Studios completed a historic restoration project involving one stained glass window with a transom at Osceola United Methodist Church. The project included the complete restoration of the window, millwork restoration, and installation of a new protective covering system.
Historic Restoration
The existing protective covering was carefully removed before the stained glass window was taken from its opening and transported to the Willet Studios facility for restoration.
While the window was being restored, temporary painted plywood was installed in the vacated opening to protect the church.
Following completion of the restoration, the stained glass window was carefully transported back to the church and reinstalled in its original opening.
Millwork Restoration
The surrounding millwork was repainted as part of the project, refreshing the appearance of the window opening and completing the restoration work.
Klear-Flo™ Protective Coverings
Following restoration, the window and transom received new protection using the Klear-Flo™ protective covering system.
A specialized perimeter frame with 5/8-inch insulated glass was installed to provide an additional protective barrier for the restored stained glass.
The Klear-Flo™ system helps protect stained glass from environmental exposure and potential impact while allowing the original artwork to remain visible.
Through careful historic restoration, temporary protection during the restoration process, millwork restoration, and the installation of a new Klear-Flo™ protective covering system, Willet Studios helped preserve this stained glass window and transom at Osceola United Methodist Church for future generations.
