About the Church

Inman Presbyterian Church is a Presbyterian congregation serving the Inman, South Carolina, community. The church is part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), providing a place of worship, fellowship, and service for its congregation and surrounding community.

Our Work

Willet Studios completed a preservation project involving 12 stained glass windows at Inman Presbyterian Church. The project addressed a variety of structural and glass-related concerns while also providing all of the windows with new protective coverings.

Stained Glass Repairs

The stained glass windows underwent a series of repairs designed to improve their stability and preserve the existing artwork.

The work included:

Stabilizing cracked glass
Reducing and straightening bulged sections
Replacing non-painted broken glass
Installing new steel structural support braces
Re-positioning loose glass back into its original lead channel
Re-attaching a loose inscription plate

These repairs helped address areas of movement and deterioration while preserving original glass and historic details whenever possible.

Window & Millwork Restoration

All 12 windows were re-cemented on their exterior surfaces, helping reinforce the window assemblies and improve their weather resistance.

All existing ventilators were also sealed shut, and the surrounding millwork was repainted to refresh and protect the window openings.

Klear-Flo™ Protective Coverings

All 12 stained glass windows received new protection using the Klear-Flo™ protective covering system.

A specialized perimeter frame with 1/4-inch acrylic was installed to create an additional protective barrier between the stained glass and the elements.

The Klear-Flo™ system helps protect stained glass from potential impact and environmental exposure while allowing the original artwork to remain visible.

Through careful glass repairs, structural stabilization, exterior re-cementing, millwork restoration, and the installation of new Klear-Flo™ protective coverings, Willet Studios helped preserve the 12 stained glass windows at Inman Presbyterian Church for future generations.
