About the Church

Holy Faith Tabernacle Church is located in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville neighborhood. The historic church building dates to 1900 and was originally constructed as Knoxville Methodist Episcopal Church before becoming home to Holy Faith Tabernacle Church. The building remains a recognizable part of the Knoxville neighborhood’s historic landscape.

Our Work

Willet Studios completed a preservation project involving three stained glass windows at Holy Faith Tabernacle Church. The project focused on replacing the existing protective coverings, strengthening and weatherproofing the windows, and refreshing the surrounding millwork.

Klear-Flo™ Protective Coverings

The existing protective coverings were carefully removed to allow access to the stained glass windows. Each window was then re-cemented on its exterior surface as part of the preservation process.

New protective coverings were installed using the Klear-Flo™ protective covering system. A specialized perimeter frame with 1/4-inch acrylic was utilized to provide an additional layer of protection for the stained glass.

The Klear-Flo™ system helps protect stained glass from potential impact and environmental exposure while allowing the original artwork to remain visible.

Millwork Restoration

The millwork surrounding all three windows was also repainted, giving the window openings a refreshed appearance and completing the preservation work.

Ventilator Sealing

Two existing window ventilators were sealed shut as part of the project. This helped address the existing openings and improve the overall protection of the window assemblies.

Through the installation of new Klear-Flo™ protective coverings, exterior re-cementing, millwork repainting, and ventilator sealing, Willet Studios helped provide long-term protection for the stained glass windows at Holy Faith Tabernacle Church.
