Restoration/ Re-lead

Three Tiffany stained glass windows were underwent historic restoration, two jeweled windows and one with the subject of two angels. The process comprised these steps: 1. installed temporary plywood in the vacated openings, 2. window underwent entire historic restoration process, 3. window was reinstalled, 4. millwork was re-painted, 6. some ventilators were sealed shut, 7. Klear-Flo™ protective covering system installed utilizing a special perimeter frame and 1/4″ acrylic, 8. windows evaluated for additional fin support/location to achieve maximum benefit with minimal aesthetic interruption. Supplemental supports were of nonferrous metal and/or metal treated so as to prevent corrosion. The supports were tinned and sweat soldered to the lead came.
