About the Church

Faith Community Lutheran Church is a vibrant, Christ-centered congregation located in the heart of the Summerlin community in Las Vegas, Nevada. Founded in the late 1990s, the church has experienced significant growth, moving to a modern campus on South Town Center Drive in 2019 to better serve its mission of “inviting people to know Jesus.” The center of this spiritual home is a newly constructed 6,000-square-foot chapel—a sacred legacy space featuring a two-story sanctuary and an expansive north-facing window wall designed specifically to house narrative stained glass that anchors the worship space in natural light.

Our Work

Our team designed and installed a massive, multi-panel stained glass installation that serves as the visual and theological centerpiece of the new chapel. The project was meticulously planned to harmonize with the building’s clean, modern finishes while providing a profound meditative experience.

The “I AM” Narrative Cycle The installation interprets the seven “I AM” statements of Jesus from the Gospel of John as a continuous, flowing narrative. Rather than treating each statement as a separate window, we utilized a unifying “scroll” motif that winds across the entire architectural span. This scroll symbolizes “The Word,” physically and spiritually linking each divine declaration into a cohesive whole.

Technical Craftsmanship and Light Management To meet the unique needs of a high-desert environment and a modern worship space, we utilized advanced glass-working techniques:

• Privacy and Texture: We selected custom textured glass to manage the intense Las Vegas sunlight. This ensures the sanctuary remains light-responsive and luminous while providing a necessary level of privacy from the exterior campus.
• Artistic Detail: The installation features expertly painted figures and finely etched details that bring the biblical narrative to life. Every color choice was calibrated to maintain visual harmony throughout the large-scale span, ensuring clarity in both bright daylight and evening light.
• Durability: Every component was engineered for long-term stability within the chapel’s frame, ensuring this “legacy piece” remains a source of inspiration for weddings, memorials, and daily worship for generations.

This installation represents a successful marriage of old-world artistry and modern architectural design, creating an environment where faith, art, and community intersect.
