Protective Coverings, Onsite
About the Congregation
Etz Chayim Congregation is a Jewish community in Huntsville, Alabama, dedicated to worship, learning, fellowship, and service. The congregation’s sanctuary and gathering spaces provide a place for members to connect with their faith, traditions, and community.
Our Work
Willet Studios completed a protective covering project involving 17 windows throughout the sanctuary and other areas of the building. The project focused on providing enhanced protection for the existing windows while maintaining the appearance and character of the building.
Bullet-Resistant Protective Coverings
All 17 windows received new protective coverings utilizing 1.25-inch bullet-resistant material.
The protective covering system was installed with AZEK perimeter moulding, providing a durable frame around the protective material while complementing the existing window architecture.
On three windows, the project included additional work to the surrounding window assemblies.
Traceries & Millwork
The millwork surrounding three windows was repainted to refresh and protect the existing architectural details.
Protective covering was also installed within the traceries, providing additional protection for the intricate portions of the windows.
For these three windows, the bullet-resistant protective covering was installed using AZEK perimeter stops, creating a secure and durable installation.
Through the installation of specialized bullet-resistant protective coverings, AZEK perimeter moulding, millwork restoration, and protection within the traceries, Willet Studios helped provide long-term protection for the 17 windows at Etz Chayim Congregation.
